Both homes are tailored to meet the extensive needs of children and young people and help maximise their potential. Our care homes both have their own individual personality which allows us to cater for the needs of the children and young people placed with us. Our homes have been designed on the basis of creating a nurturing, caring and stimulating environment in which children and young people can develop, learn and thrive. We ensure that each child feels comfortable and safe in their environment, great care is taken to avoid any feeling of institutionalisation; we attempt to replicate family life, as close as practicably possible. Between two and three children live in each home and every child has their own bedroom. First 4 Care believes that by providing individual defined, child-centred care for young people that this will help them to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.
Every home is inspected and registered by Ofsted in addition, each home is regularly visited by a Quality Assurance Inspector who carries out compliance checks in line with the Children’s Home Regulations 2001.
