Located on the outskirts of Doncaster in a semi-rural setting, The Hollies is a larger than average home built to a high specification, which accommodates young adults with Learning Disabilities/Autism and or complex needs.

The accommodation is built to a high standard and comprises of a spacious entrance hall, downstairs w/c, spacious kitchen with cooking facilities for two people (including large breakfasting area) connecting dining area, dual purpose room for meetings/quiet area and a spacious living room /communal area. Of the four spacious single bedrooms, two have en-suites and the second two share a luxurious bathroom. The grounds are private and not overlooked for residents to enjoy the gardens. The Hollies is situated close to public transport links to the Town centre and close to villages providing community groups as well as leisure facilities.

When placing a client within our care and personal centred living project, we concentrate on the following basic tasks in order to aid, build and maintain the client’s independent living skills:

  • Support with food preparation
  • Support with maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Daily reflective support on behaviour and conduct
  • Managing incidents
  • Supervised food and grocery shopping
  • Administering money/budgeting
  • Support to attend community based appointments
  • Support with engaging in training, education or employment
  • Support with attending leisure and health activities

Depending on the clients exact needs, we can then factor in additional support. This may include:

  • Support with self-harm reduction
  • Supervising contact or transportation to contact
  • Crisis Intervention if contact breaks down
  • Support with reducing substance or alcohol abuse and the reduction of sexually harmful behaviour
  • Additional staffing 24 hour 1:1/2:1/3:1 etc
  • Waking night staffing
  • Therapeutic assessments
